About Ken
Well-being CoacH
Significant experience as a senior leader of multiple organizations combined with expert training as a leadership coach to help individuals and organizations achieve their goals and objectives.
Ken Garner – My Story
I began my working career as a summer intern janitor in a small commercial printing company start-up. Thirty-three years later I left the company after leading its growth and development to become a major magazine printing company with annual sales of nearly $30 million and well over 200 employees.
My experience taught me that while investments in continuous improvement programs and the best hardware and software were important to success the most important investment required for sustained success was providing a healthy and supportive working environment for all employees… and that this investment was consistently required in both good times and bad.
“Ken provided time for me to discern what was important to me from our conversations and gave me the time to set my goals. Each week I came back having moved forward.”
Why Work With Me?
In more than four decades of my work experience, at all levels of management and leadership, I have accumulated the wisdom derived from success and failure. I’ve been in your shoes.
Throughout my career, I’ve committed to the study of effective organizational leadership. I’ve written numerous published articles and presented at a variety of industry events on the topic.
I recently completed a rigorous organizational coaching program developed and delivered by George Mason University’s Center for the Advancement of Wellbeing focused on “Leadership Coaching for Organizational Wellbeing”.
The competencies learned in this program have added valuable skills that when combined with my professional experience can deliver unique and powerful value to individuals and organizations that are committed to sustained thriving.
